What is Provably Fairness?
Provably fairness lets you reproduce a game result using disclosed records and open algorithms. For Gazino Originals, you can compare the pre-bet commitment, player contribution and data revealed after the round to check the result yourself.
How Provably Fairness Works
The key components used for verification:
- Server Seed: A secret random value generated by the server. Its SHA-256 commitment is shared before betting; the actual value is revealed when the round finishes.
- Client Seed: The player contribution to the result. In the new Originals protocol, the browser generates it with secure randomness after receiving the server commitment.
- Nonce: The round counter used by the algorithm. The new protocol uses a fresh server seed and nonce 0 each round; other protocols use the value in their round record.
These components and the game’s versioned algorithm are used to reproduce the same result. The verification scope varies by game and is shown with the result.
Verifying Fairness
In Verify, select your game and bet ID or choose a recent round. Its record is retrieved and verified directly in your browser; no file upload or software download is required. When a pre-bet receipt is available, the commitment is also checked against that receipt.
Up / Down uses live market prices. Its check covers recorded prices, source, timing and payout consistency; it does not claim cryptographic fairness of external market data.
